Leah hiking in the mountains

As both an undergraduate and graduate student, I’ve been fascinated by how organisms and cells react rapidly to stress and shift from homeostasis to stress response. In the Glab, I decipher how protein targeting of key transcriptional machinery alters the transcriptomic, and thus phenotypic, outcome of different cellular perturbations. My other academic interests include pedagogical development and teaching scientific and critical thinking skills. When outside of the lab, you can find me…outside; I enjoy hiking, backpacking, camping, kayaking, and generally being in nature.
